It is just this simple, if you like TV at home as well as camping,
you might want to check out this system! This will allow satellite
audio/video to be
transmitted to another TV without all the hassle of cables, etc.,
it can be used at home as well as in the RV! The satellite receiver
has a couple of
pieces of electronics equipment attached to it as does the “remote”
TV!(small daub of silicone sealant/adhesive holds them on) These
pieces of
equipment are an audio/video wireless transmitter/receiver and
an infrared (remote) extender. Both the satellite receiver AND the
“remote” TV
become “self-contained” units, the only connections that need
to be done are the “IN” from satellite, “OUT” to TV, and electrical plug-in!
The
“remote” TV can be used in numerous locations because it is wireless,
all you need is an electrical outlet for power. You can put it in
any room in
the house, out on the deck, in the basement or garage, virtually
anywhere within the “range” of the transmitter. At the camp site,
the “remote” TV
can be taken to another part of the RV, out under the camper’s
awning, the picnic table, or your neighbor’s camp site as long as it is
“in range”.
The audio/video transmit/receive units do just what the name
suggests, they transmit an audio/video signal to an audio/video receiver.
The transmitter
is attached to the satellite receiver and the audio/video receiver
is attached to the “remote” TV! The IR (remote) extender allows for
the
“remote” operation of the satellite receiver.
SEE PICTURES BELOW:
The parts list is as follows:
(1)Satellite receiver
(2)Small TV (with or without audio/video RCA jacks)
(3)Audio/Video transmit/receive wireless units
(some of these have the IR extender “function” built-in)
(4)IR infrared (remote) extender units
(5)Small 4-outlet plug strip (X2)
(6)“Y” cables with RCA jacks on both ends
(7)Short coax cable (RG-59 or RG-6)

Radio Shack has the “Y” cables. These are only needed if
you use the
audio/video jacks on your TV or if your satellite receiver only
has one set
of RCA jacks! (I used the solid “Y” they offer, 274-501)

I used these cables to go from the solid “Y” block to the audio/video
unit. (real short)
