Wm. Mitchell State Park
Near Cadillac Michigan

This is a great family park, large flat sites, lots of shade, beach.
Wm. Mitchell State Park is located between Mitchell Lake and
Lake Cadillac, with a channel running between the two lakes, so
you can camp at the park and have use of both lakes.  Several sites
are right on the channel, great for folks with boats.  Lots of area
to ride bikes or take walks.

May 2nd 2002 arrival day at the park, cool 39, rain, snow, sleet and windy. Not a nice day,
but lots of sites to choose from, this park has 250 plus sites, only 10 or 12 sites were
being used.  For many years this has been our first week of May park.

The following days do get nicer.  This view out the side trailer window looking east
over the channel and Lake Cadillac.

May 3th friday, early afternoon, a warm weekend forecast and the RV's line up to enter.
By saturday morning there were about 65 RV's in the campground.
